Privacy Policy

Candid Families LLC (“Candid Families”, “we”, “our”) respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal information. This policy outlines what we collect, how we use it, and your rights as a client and website visitor.

Information We Collect

  • Your name, email address, and contact details
  • Booking and session information
  • Photo purchases and delivery preferences
  • Login timestamps and session activity for internal marketing analytics
  • Payment details (securely handled through Square)

How We Use Your Information

  • To schedule, manage, and deliver your photo sessions
  • To notify you when photos are ready or being removed
  • To process secure payments
  • To improve our services through engagement tracking
  • To occasionally send promotional emails (you may opt out at any time)

Photo Storage

We store client photos both locally and in the cloud. If we need to free up space, we’ll notify you by email. You will have 14 days from notification to download any remaining photos before they are permanently removed.

Account Security

We take your security seriously. Passwords are hashed, sessions auto-expire after inactivity, and your login data is protected with industry best practices.

Cookies

Candid Families uses cookies to improve your experience on our website. These include both essential and optional cookies:

Essential Cookies

These are required for secure access and functionality, such as:

  • Session management
  • Login authentication
  • CSRF protection

Analytics & Tracking Cookies

We use Google Analytics to collect anonymized data on how visitors use our site — such as which pages are visited, how long visitors stay, and what devices are used. This helps us improve our website and services. You can opt out of Google Analytics by installing a browser add-on provided by Google.

Do Not Track Signals

Your browser may offer a "Do Not Track" (DNT) setting to indicate that you do not wish to be tracked across websites. At this time, Candid Families does not respond to DNT signals. This is because there is no consistent industry standard for how these signals should be interpreted.

Managing Cookies

You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings. However, disabling essential cookies may affect the functionality of our site.

By using our website, you consent to the use of these essential cookies. If we introduce optional analytics or marketing cookies in the future, you will be notified and given a choice to accept or decline them.

Your Rights

Our lawful basis for collecting and processing your information is your consent, our contractual obligation to provide services, and our legitimate interest in improving our offerings.

You can request to access or delete your personal data at any time by contacting us. You may also opt out of promotional communications via the unsubscribe link in any email.

To exercise your rights under this policy, you can email us at candidfamilies@gmail.com.

This policy may be updated from time to time. All updates will be reflected on this page.
